Final Reflection
Well, after 21 days of posting, my attitude towards a blog project has definitely changed. At the beginning of this project, I had a bad attitude about having to post everyday and this probably affected my posts in a negative way. As the project went on however, I was beginning to actually look forward to what I was going to take a picture of that night. When I started to be excited about taking pictures is when I began to take better quality pictures with better quality captions. This is also when i realized that this whole process would be worth it. My pictures improved throughout this process and my photography skills also improved. I began to take pictures of what I wanted, rather that taking pictures just to follow the assignment. This project has definitely taught me to not make assumptions about certain situations and to enter into everything in life with a positive attitude!

Day 21- Tangled Branches
It's great to see life growing on this barren fence. This represents the good growing in everyone and everything.

Day 19- University of the Pacific
Over Memorial Day weekend I visited UOP. It was very pretty and I felt comfortable on campus. I would love to call the University of the Pacific my home after senior year!

Week Four Reflection
Throughout these past eighteen days I have definitely utilized fluency and flexibility. I have used flexibility pretty much everyday, by taking many pictures of my subjects from many different angles. I then go through and pick my favorite out of all of them. Fluency on the other hand is something that has been developed through this eighteen day process. As each day passes, I have more experience taking pictures. This has caused me to loosen up about what I am taking pictures of and just go with what feels right. At the beginning it would take me a long time to pick a subject, but now it is much easier. These two elements have really made my creativity better, By using these elements I feel that one of the best ways to enhance your creativity are by practicing these elements, fluency and creativity!

Day 18- Concert
Had such a great time last night seeing Matt Nathanson, The Fray, and Train preform! These bands talent levels are incredible and they put on a great show! Their songs are so full of motivation, and their success stories are inspirational.

Day 15- Hydrangeas
The hydrangeas are blooming beautifully this time of year. Looks like all my mom's nagging to water them paid off!

Day 14- Graduation
Though the ceremony is called a commencement ceremony, it is actually the beginning of a new chapter. I am so proud of my sister and her accomplishments, and look forward to what she will do with her life!

Week Three Reflection
My favorite picture so far is Day 9. I took this picture in my backyard, because I thought the overgrown grape vines would make for a great picture! I also thought that this photo could connect greatly to the theme, "Signs of Hope," because the path was easy and marked well, except for the large vine that blocked the path. I saw this as an obstacle one must overcome to find their happiness, or follow their dreams!

Day 13- Jump!
Sad to see the track coming to an end, but spending time with the team to celebrate our amazing season is always a blast. I had a great time last night and can't wait for next years season.

Day 12- Stormy Sky
Though I hate storms and rainy weather, in this case the cloudy sky brings hope for rain which is desperately needed right now!

Day 11- Strawberry
Though this strawberry may seem small, it went through many changes to become the tasty and healthy fruit it is now! Growing your own fruit is a great way to get outdoors and also keep you eating healthy!

Day 10- Swing
"One of the luckiest things that can happen to you in life is, I think, to have a happy childhood." Tire swings and hot summer days are two things that remind me of my childhood and all the great memories that I made as a child. Life was so simple and so full of hope of what my future would become!

Day 9- Path
Follow your own path to your dreams. Even if the path may seem difficult, you won't succeed until you try.

Week Two Reflection
It has been two weeks since I posted my first picture! Through these two weeks I have been trying more and more to connect my pictures to the theme, "Signs of Hope." This theme has made me think deeper about what it is about the subject I am taking pictures of that makes me relate it to the theme. This can vary greatly, depending on what the subject is. When taking my pictures, I look for something unique, and try to not be repetitive with what I choose. I see it as a challenge, over the course of my posting on this blog, to take pictures of a great variety of subjects!

Day 8- Archway
I remember when these grape vines were so small that the archway was completely exposed. Now they have grown tall and wide and have really changed. They show the ways plants grow and evolve, but people do this also. I hope when I grow and change, it is for the better.

Day 7- Poppy
The Californian Poppy is such a beautiful flower. A field of poppies is a wonderful sight, but even this single poppy growing on its own has great beauty!

Week One Reflection
After posting on this blog for three days, I have realized that keeping up on a blog takes much more attention than I previously thought. The initial problems I encountered had to do with creating my blog, and after I completed that, everything else was pretty simple and easy to figure out. I only had minor troubles navigating through my blog, but after the first day of posting, I was able to navigate freely and easily. Along with my blog, I have been looking at the blogs of some of my classmates. It is nice to see their interpretations of our assignments compared to mine. I also like to see their creativity with their daily posts. I can pick up some ideas off of what they choose to take pictures of and hopefully continue to try taking pictures of new things that interest me!
